The Merritt Commons mural is one of those pieces you can’t miss.

Located in the heart of uptown Roxboro, this 3,000+ square foot mural has become a go-to backdrop for everything from tourism photos to prom pictures. It’s a landmark and one that plays a big role in how the entire area feels.

Over time, the original mural had started to fade, chip, and wear down. What was once a point of pride had begun to look neglected, and that energy started to carry over into the surrounding space.

The goal was to restore it before it was lost completely.

By repairing and repainting the mural, we were able to bring it back to life — creating something that feels fresh, cared for, and reflective of a growing, welcoming downtown.

Because when a space like this is taken care of, people notice. And it changes how they experience everything around it.
